I love two block quilts, you can get bonus secondary patterns when they are combined.

For this quilt's design I wanted blocks with a strong diagonal line so that I could arrange them into a "Barn Raising" setting. For the pieced block I chose "Double X", it is simple and has that great strong diagonal line that I was after. I love applique so I had to have my alternate block featuring that medium, I drew up a simple flower on a stem with a few leaves that flows across  the block on the diagonal. 

The pretty fabrics I have used are from my "Westmoreland" collection, adding a charcoal background to them really gives them a bit of drama.  I can kit this up with just the coloured prints, you can see that on the "Westmoreland" page.

I am offering a printed pattern as well as a PDF pattern.  The printed pattern is $22.00 plus postage, the PDF pattern is $20.
