Bird applique - I think most of us love it and the birds in this quilt are styled to look like Folk Art.  I wanted the applique to look like it could be painted on the doors of an old armoire or on the top and sides of a wooden chest.

There are eight different applique designs with the smaller ones repeated in a mirror image.  For the pieced blocks I chose ones that had bird names - Birds in the Air, Darting Bird, Hovering Hawks, Crows Foot and of course, Flying Geese.

The pattern has colour instructions for the piecing and applique and the applique pattern sheets are full scale.
